We were asked to redefine the Overlook Bar at Rabbit Hole Distillery through an extensive redesign of both its identity and interior. This project was a collaborative effort, blending our vision with the design expertise of Maddox and Rose, resulting in a harmonious and elevated experience for all visitors. The journey began with the creation of a new logo that encapsulates the essence of the Overlook Bar, aligning with Rabbit Hole’s innovative spirit and commitment to quality. This fresh identity served as the cornerstone of our redesign, influencing every aspect of the bar’s transformation. Working closely with Maddox and Rose, we meticulously crafted an interior that not only complements the new identity but also enhances the bar’s functionality and aesthetic appeal. Identity design
In our quest to reinvent the Overlook Bar at Rabbit Hole Distillery, we set out to redesign its identity and logo to reflect both the modern elegance of the bar and the whimsical, creative spirit of the Rabbit Hole brand. This endeavor aimed to create a visual identity that seamlessly blends contemporary sophistication with imaginative charm, capturing the essence of the brand and the vibrant energy of the city of Louisville. Our design journey began with a comprehensive exploration of diverse design styles. Drawing inspiration from the brand’s ethos, the newly redesigned interior, and the cultural richness of Louisville, we experimented with various concepts to find the perfect balance. The goal was to craft a logo that not only stands out but also resonates deeply with visitors, evoking a sense of discovery and delight. This case study outlines our meticulous design process, detailing how we arrived at a logo that embodies the unique character of the Overlook Bar. By fusing modern aesthetics with whimsical elements, we created an identity that is both timeless and distinctly Rabbit Hole.
The final two logos selected by our client highlighted both the design of the space and the creativity of the brand in equal parts with the logo on the left being chosen as the winner.
Interior design
In our recent re-design of the Overlook Bar at the Rabbit Hole Distillery, we embarked on a journey to enhance both the aesthetic and functional aspects of this iconic space. The primary objective was to incorporate two new tasting rooms, providing a more elevated and intimate experience for distillery tours, while also creating a versatile, multipurpose event space. Our approach began with a strategic use of color to compress the entrance space, intentionally crafting a more dramatic entry into the bar area. This technique draws visitors’ focus towards the expansive windows and breathtaking view of the city, ensuring a memorable first impression. All interior design work was done in collaboration with Maddox and Rose.
The addition of the tasting rooms was meticulously planned to offer flexibility and sophistication. Designed with collapsible walls, these rooms can seamlessly transform into one large space, accommodating various event sizes and types. This adaptability not only elevates the tasting experience but also maximizes the utility of the Overlook Bar as a premier event venue. Our design process was driven by a commitment to both form and function, ensuring that every element of the Overlook Bar contributes to an enhanced visitor experience at Rabbit Hole Distillery.

Each of these whiskeys brings a unique hue, reflecting its distinct character and essence. By incorporating these colors, we aimed to create an ambiance that resonates with the spirit of each whiskey, adding a touch of personality to every piece.
Our vision was to craft modular furniture that not only exudes modernity and comfort but also offers unparalleled flexibility. The modular design allows our staff to easily reconfigure the furniture to suit any event, whether it’s an intimate tasting session or a large-scale celebration. This adaptability ensures that every event is perfectly tailored to the occasion, providing both functional and aesthetic benefits.
